Best China
is perhaps the most appropriate name that they could have chosen for
this establishment, because as far as we are concerned, this is the
absolute best Chinese food that you will find in the Canton area of
Michigan! We've had Chinese cuisine in many different locations in the
state, and what makes such a difference here is that the dishes that
they offer are a much wider variety. For instance, you can try such
delights as spicy salted shrimp, scallion pancakes, and even braised
duck with a delicious glaze of soy sauce. And that's just the tip of
the iceberg! Note that they do have many of your favorite classics,
you've just got to ask for the regular menu to choose from them. We
love it!

- IZAKAYA SANPEI RESTAURANT
When
you're in Canton and craving Japanese cuisine and delicious sushi, you
need look no further than Izakaya Sanpei Restaurant on Joy Road. We
come here specifically to order from their secret menu (just ask for
it!), which was formerly only available in Japanese but is now
translated into English with very clear photos too. We recommend the
tayoyaki the most. They do have a regular menu too in case you don't
feel like being quite that adventurous, and if you order from that we'd
most recommend the saba fish, any of the sushi rolls, and of course
some wonderful green tea ice cream to finish off the meal. Speaking of
green tea, theirs is exquisite. Incredible service too!

If
you are seeking delicious Indian street food, you may be surprised to
find that it's right here in Canton! Who knew? Not only is it
affordable and in a very convenient location, but it's also mind
blowingly delicious. The chole bhature has got to be our favorite thing
on the menu, and what really makes it so amazing is the red sauce. It's
so wonderfully spicy and just full of flavor. That last sentence
applies to just about everything on the menu, and we can vouch for that
because we have tried most of it! You'll be shocked at how huge the
menu is here, and you'll want to work your way through all of it too.
Truly comfortable and cozy atmosphere, excellent service, and the kind
of food that we'd travel hundreds of miles for!

Another
amazing Japanese restaurant that we have visited many times in the
Canton area is Aji Ten. Their specialty is noodles, and in fact that's
what we come here for, though their sushi is very good too. The curry
rice is one of our favorite dishes, but we have almost exclusively
focused on the noodle dishes and soups, as well as the katsu on
occasion. All of them are just so warm and good, the true definition of
Japanese comfort food as far as we are concerned! The people who work
here are so wonderful and so friendly, you'll feel right at home from
your very first visit. Noodle lovers, take heed! Aji Ten is the best of
the best, and it's so conveniently located right here on Ford Road.

Speaking
of amazing noodles (see the restaurant above!), if you are craving
ramen, you have got to try Matsuchan Ramen Restaurant on North Sheldon
Road here in Canton. You'll be shocked by the high quality here, and
there is plenty of evidence of that too! Just take a look at how
crowded the restaurant is on a daily basis. We've had lots of ramen all
over the world during our travels, and we can assure you that this is
as good as it gets here in the good ol' USA. In the summer, we always
opt for the summer noodles which they're famous for, and in the winter
we love the pork ramen the best because it really warms the body and
comforts the soul. It's so comfortable to dine here, and the service is
so good. One of the best around!

Many
times when we are in Canton, it's specifically to go shopping at IKEA.
When we're there, we love to grab a quick bite to eat at the restaurant
within the store, because quite frankly the food is delicious and as
cheap as it gets! If you've never been there before, you'll be
absolutely shocked by the low prices on the menu board when you walk
up. It's all cafeteria style, so you can pick and choose what you like,
and have a nice small snack or a full meal if you prefer! Their famous
Swedish meatballs are the one thing that we never skip, and they've got
plenty of delicious fish, salads, and much more. What better way is
there to relax after many hours of serious furniture shopping? Just
chill with a drink and some great grub!

Craving
some Asian fusion style cuisine? Remember the name Ginger, because this
restaurant is the only one that you need to know. You'll definitely
want to start things off with their Cantonese fried bread appetizer.
The slick egg with beef is one of our top choices, and the lo mein
Singapore style is certainly an excellent choice. If you're a calamari
lover, try the spicy salty deep fried squid! It's incredibly flavorful
and very addictive. The bubble tea is our beverage of choice here
because it's so fun and delicious, but we also love their fresh
smoothies, and that's certainly a nice healthy option for those who are
trying to get more fresh fruit into their diet. Many wonderful choices
for lunch and dinner here!

- O'SUSHI JAPANESE RESTAURANT
O'Sushi
is easily overlooked because of its tiny location in the corner of a
shopping center, but we would very highly recommend that you make note
of the address and make it a point to stop in next time you're in
Canton! This is one of our favorite places to go for sushi in all of
Michigan, and that's really saying something. Since it's basically a
carryout restaurant, it's perfect for party bus travel! There's nothing
like heading in there to pick up some delicious shrimp tempura and some
of those famous devil rolls. Truly, any of the specialty rolls will
treat you very well. They're all unique and delicious, and made from
much higher quality sashimi than you will find elsewhere. O'Sushi
definitely has us hooked!

For lovers of
Indian and Pakistani food in Canton, there is Ashoka. We love coming in
and starting things off with a nice hearty portion of their delicious
naan, and the navratan korma is also a great way to begin a fabulous
meal. It combines a creamy texture with a spicy taste, and that is a
flavor combination that we have never been able to resist. The chicken
tikka masala is really excellent here, and we have also enjoyed the
paneer makhani many times. Truly you would do very well to choose any
item on their enormous menu, but beyond even that is the high quality
of the service, and the lovely atmosphere. It's always a wonderful time
here no matter what time of day or what day of the week that you visit.

We've
been going to the Dearborn Heights Mexican Fiesta location for well
over a decade, but more recently we have discovered that the ambiance
at Mexican Fiesta II is even better! We absolutely love the authentic
feel at this place, and the authentic food makes it even better! We
highly recommend this restaurant for a very nice yet casual date, and
we'd recommend the fajita trio with shrimp, chicken, and steak, perfect
for two to share! Pair that with a couple of cocktails and you've got a
wonderful date night meal at a price that won't break the bank. The
service is wonderful too. Be sure to ask for hot chips instead of the
cold ones that they bring to the table automatically. So good! Highly
recommended.
